2020 GTLL Complex Clean-up
by posted 06/03/2020

Germantown Families -

On behalf of the GTLL Board and most importantly the kids in the community... two words...

The turnout for Saturday’s Community Clean Up at the LL Complex was awesome – not to mention an amazing transformation of the grounds.  Unofficially, we had at least over 50 people (representing both former and current GTLL parents and players)!  Check out some of the pictures below!

There are too many people to individually thank for their role in the clean up on Saturday, however, I would like to take a moment to recognize some individuals who did an incredible job executing upon a vision by taking what was possible and making it probable… specifically – John Hammer, Tyler Schulz, Katie McConnell, and Keith Schroeder for their drive and determination to make this happen.  Their “Can Do” attitude inspired me…the board….and by extension the community to get involved and help out.

We would also like to thank the following businesses for their support:

  • Bliffert Lumber for donating and delivering some of the wood for the Bleachers.
  • North Brook Landscaping and Joe Goetter for his flexibility in quickly responding to our needs with delivering mulch and spraying the fields.
  • Robert’s Frozen Custard and Darren Stamm for providing coupons that we could distribute as a small thank you to our volunteers!

Baseball is a team sport and this was an incredible team effort.  At the end of the day, it was great to see so many people coming together to help return the fields into something we can be produ of for our kids to enjoy!

Thank you and now it is time to finally PLAY BALL!

by posted 06/01/2020

GTLL Parents –

Thank you for your patience as the GTLL Board has been work quickly to balance the desire for our kids to play baseball with the need to a formulate a thorough plan focused on the safety of the players and our spectators.  For the past three weeks , we have been meeting weekly to discuss and prepare for all aspects of the season.

We wanted to take this opportunity to provide everyone with several updates:

  • Enclosed are the  Protocols for Activities During COVID-19 & our Spectator Plan.  This document details the rules/protocols we [coaches, players, families, and organization] will follow unless adjusted in the future due to changes.   Please read through these and understand all aspects of it.

  • ACTION REQUIRED (No Exceptions): 2020 COVID-19 Waiver.  Please read through this waiver, sign by parents, and return to your coach/manager at the time of your first practice/ meeting.  The Head Coaches will need to provide a signed hard print copy of the document to the Organization.   Please understand, we are doing the very best to mitigate risk of infection, HOWEVER, this absolutely does not remove all risk of infection by entering into team related practices, games and events.

  • Equipment - each player will need their own equipment this season (helmet, bat, and glove).

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you this season!
